Old Blue

I loved all the little boats on the coast. Today we are expecting snow so this painting helps remind me of warmer times.

Facelift

What a wonderful old boat that was being repaired.Paint was peeling, pails tipped over as if someone had just walked away from the job.

The Homestead

Fisher Peak in the background with this old rundown cabin.

Schooner Cove

This was a long hike up and down stairs through bush. But what a view.

There will be many more to come, so stay tuned!!

Sedona Colors

This is my impression of some rocks in Sedona. What beautiful colors to work with and magnificent, majestic shapes.
This was fun using a little different method. Squares of color move in and out of the subject creating an image based on abstract design.

Grounded

Well, tonight is the night of my solo exhibition. Lots of work and lots of painting later, there is now 35 new paintings. This one is done based on our visit to Cathedral Grove on Vancouver Island. Those trees are huge and so twisted and knarled they must have some great stories to tell. You'll probably be seeing a few more of these.

Spring is Here

I think it's done!!! I may need to tweek a thing or two yet but thought I would post it anyway. Because the dominant color is green I tried to break the monotony with bits of reds and oranges and purples that may not be visible in the photo.

The Hoodoos

This is not a great photo but wanted to get it posted. We have many of these sand formations in our area. I had about 5 min last summer to do a small sketch and painted this at home.
